General conditions of issue and use for ez-link cards

01. Why is there a convenience fee for the top-up?

This convenience fee is charged for use of the Paymentlink system at the participating merchant. It is the service fee for providing and maintaining the top-up service.

02. Will receipts be issued?

There will be an option to request for receipts at the kiosks or at participating merchants. Customers are encouraged to keep all receipts for reference.

03. What if the kiosk tops up the wrong amount to my concession / ez-link card?

In the unlikely event that an erroneous top-up has been made, consumers can complete the claim form from the participating merchant. All efforts will be made to work with the merchants and jointly investigate and refund the customer where applicable.

04. Is there a limit to how much I can top up to my concession / ez-link card?

Currently, the concession / ez-link card can be topped up to a maximum of $500.

05. Can all types of ez-link cards be topped up at the participating merchants?

All types of ez-link cards can be topped up at the participating merchants, except:

  • Single trip cards
  • Selected corporate cards
  • Park N Ride cards
  • Cards that have not been activated with stored value
  • New ez-link CEPAS-compliant cards

Apart from the above, the following are issues affecting concession / ez-link cards and thus may prevent them from being topped up.

  • Customers using faulty cards
  • Customers using expired cards
  • Customers using cards which have been blacklisted due to several reasons,
    e.g. the concession / ez-link card had been reported as lost

For the above cards, customers are advised to bring their ez-link cards to TransitLink Ticket Offices located at selected MRT stations and bus interchanges to have their card checked.

06. Where can I top up my concession / ez-link card?

You can top up your concession / ez-link card at the MRT Ticket Sales Office at the MRT Stations, the General Ticketing Machines (GTM) or the Add Value Machines (AVM) located at all MRT Stations and Bus Interchange.

Alternatively, you can also have your cards GIRO-Linked at any GTMS at the MRT Stations. Your GIRO-linked concession / ez-link card will automatically top-up to a pre-determined value when the stored value falls to zero or below when it is used on buses, the MRT or LRT.

The following Paymentlink merchants also have top-up* facilities:

Earn EzR points when you top-up your concession or ez-link card at following
Paymentlink merchants:

  • 7-Eleven*
  • I-ECON*
  • Republic Polytechnic (Booklink Pte Ltd)
  • PLMGS (Pacific Bookstores Pte Ltd)

* A convenience fee is levied for the service.
